This week I have done research on the stigma
surrounding mental health in the US. I used a lot of sources I already had from
my capstone project. I also reached out to several therapists in the town n
country and South Tampa area about their sliding scale fees and accessibility
to mental health care. I have yet to hear back from them. Like last week, the
thing I wish I could do differently is starting this project earlier. I feel
like it would be able to be more detailed and successful. In the coming week, I’d
like to hopefully hear back from the therapists I contacted so I can gain more
insight on how to best deal with erasing mental health stigma. In addition to
that, I’d also like to continue doing research. I need to look into the process
of making posters and possibly designing a website, depending on the
information I receive from everyone.
