Post 9
This is the final blog post for this project. In the past few days, I was able to distribute brochures to public libraries and other public places. I was also able to answer the questions for the end of this assignment, which was the final component of the 20 time project. Earlier today I stopped by my public library and saw that some of the brochures had been taken/ moved (I left 10, 6 remained when I came back). I don't know whether the library removed them or if they were actually used. I have not had a chance to stop by the other library or the coffee shop at which I also left brochures.

This past week, I have not focused much on my 20-time
project. We presented our capstone J.
Yesterday, I received my brochures in the mail. I have heard back from
libraries near my work and house, both say that I would be able to distribute them
there. Right now, I am waiting to hear what the next component of the project
is because there is nothing I can do at this point. My next step will be to
finish my project once I hear about the last part. My goal will be to have the
entire project completed, with the brochures distributed, before my AP
psychology exam on May 2.
I think one of the things I wish I had done differently
would be to continue reaching out to local therapists. Since I had not heard
back from the first several I tried, I stopped trying to get a response. I wish
that I had continued looking for other therapists because I think it would have
enhanced my brochure.

In the past week, we have had one 20-time work session
during school. During both this time and on my own, I have realized how hard it
is to create a decent looking brochure that I can distribute in public places.
I had imagined there would be more of a template for creating a brochure I had
in mind. Instead of using Microsoft Word to try and create my brochure, I found
the ability to create things and print them at Staples. This was what I spent
the entirety of class working on. I have successfully created and ordered 25
prints of my brochure that helps address mental health issues. I hope to receive
my order in approximately 7 business days (according to the receipt estimate). Then
my next goal will be to contact local libraries and places that might be
willing to display my brochures so I am able to share the information easily. I
think at this point, I am on schedule for working on my project. We have until
the end of school to finish it and I am estimating that I will be done within that
time frame or possibly a bit earlier.

In the past week, I honestly haven’t done much work on my 20-time
project since I’ve been finishing my capstone. I still have not heard back from
any of the therapists I reached out to; at this point, I’m planning on
continuing my project without them. I think I am on track for this project
being done in time. I made a lot of progress over Spring Break so that really
pushed me towards being closer to having a final product. I need to continue to
work on the layout of my brochure and do a test printing- I think that will be
my next step. In the next week, I’d like to continue to work on my brochure and
possibly do a test print to see how it will look folded so I can check the
layout. In addition to this, I’d like to continue researching ways to reduce
stigma and hopefully add more information anywhere I can.

Over spring break I created a rough draft of the flyer that I plan to create and distribute. I also continued doing research on mental health stigma. In the coming week, I plan to continue to revise my brochure. If I could change anything, I would have the therapists I emailed to reply. I think that their input would be valuable.
